Who We Are
We are the Washington Satsang Society, a chartered affiliate of Eckankar, Religion of the Light and Sound of God. Eckankar is a nonprofit religious organization and church with headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The spiritual home of Eckankar is the Temple of ECK, completed in 1990, which is located on the Eckankar Spiritual Campus in Chanhassen, Minnesota.

There are eleven service areas for Eckankar in Washington state, each of which serves as a spiritual focal point for the members of our community, as well as a place where new people can receive information about the teachings of ECK. The Eckankar Centers and ECK Information Centers in our state serve as a doorway to both personal spiritual study and service to others. We offer introductory presentations, public book discussion groups, worship services, spiritual study programs, workshops, and other spiritual services to assist you.

Our Mission
Eckankar's Satsang Societies help fulfill Eckankar's mission, as stated by Eckankar's spiritual leader, Sri Harold Klemp:

"The mission of Eckankar is to show an individual the way home to God."

How We Operate
Within the state of Washington, a volunteer regional spiritual leader, known as the Regional ECK Spiritual Aide (RESA), is appointed to oversee Eckankar activities. The RESA is assisted by an organization of volunteers who coordinate regional and local activities, including a board of trustees, satsang society officers, and statewide and local directors. Local directors are, in turn, assisted by teams of coordinators and other volunteers. This extensive organization of volunteers oversees a thriving and growing community of ECKists in Washington state, and provides a welcome atmosphere for all who wish to learn more about the teachings of ECK.

Eckankar activities offered in the state of Washington are described on the Local Information & Events page.
